Bathroom Renovation, Lydney

One of our most unique projects was renovating a bathroom in a 1920s house in Lydney. Built during wartime, this property had brickwork mortar that included locally sourced coal from the old Lydney mine due to a shortage in materials. Over time, soot had built up on the walls, so we started by installing moisture-resistant board over the brickwork to ensure long-term durability in a damp environment.

The client chose a bold, nature-inspired palette: green tiles and paint framed the space, while brushed-bronze fixtures. This combination gave the bathroom a fun, quirky, and timeless feel.

By balancing the building’s heritage with modern materials and styling, we created a bespoke bathroom that’s both practical and full of personality.
