Bathroom Renovation, Dymock

Had a lot of fun with this project, which involved a complete transformation of an underutilised space into a bespoke, industrial-rustic bathroom, with a strong emphasis on handcrafted features and material contrast.

The room was stripped back to its structure, with all plumbing, electrics, and layout redesigned from scratch to create a fully functional and visually distinctive space. Careful planning allowed for the integration of hidden storage, maximising usability while maintaining a clean and uncluttered finish.

A key feature of the design is the custom-built timber wall cladding, installed with intentional variation and detailing to enhance the raw, natural aesthetic. This is paired with exposed brickwork, adding warmth and texture while reinforcing the industrial character of the room.

At the centre of the space sits a statement copper bath, elevated on a bespoke brick plinth, creating a strong focal point. The surrounding finishes were chosen to complement this, including aged brass-style fixtures and soft ambient lighting to bring warmth and depth to the space.

Several elements were fabricated entirely by hand by the ENO team, including a bespoke towel rail and a custom steel-sheet door, adding a unique, workshop-built quality that sets the project apart. These features not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the overall identity of the room.

Lighting was carefully considered throughout, combining feature wall lights with softer accent lighting to create a relaxed, atmospheric environment.

The final result is a highly individual bathroom that blends traditional materials with modern craftsmanship, demonstrating a full design-and-build approach with attention to detail at every stage.
