06/2025Bathroom Renovation, Gloucester
This project involved the complete transformation of a dated and deteriorated bathroom into a clean, contemporary space with a strong visual identity. The original layout was defined by a bulky inset bathtub, limited functionality, and heavily worn finishes, with exposed pipework and uneven surfaces highlighting the need for a full strip-out and redesign.
The brief focused on maximising usability within the existing footprint while introducing a more modern, design-led aesthetic. The bath was removed and replaced with a walk-in shower enclosure, significantly improving spatial flow and creating a more open feel. Key sanitaryware was repositioned to optimise circulation and align with a more logical layout.
A bold, full-height patterned tile was introduced across the walls to establish a cohesive feature throughout the space, contrasted by warm wood-effect flooring to soften the overall look. A compact wall-mounted basin with exposed chrome pipework adds a subtle industrial character, while maintaining practicality within the narrow plan.
Recessed ceiling lighting and improved natural light distribution enhance the sense of space, transforming what was once a tired and enclosed room into a bright, functional bathroom.
The result demonstrates how a complete reconfiguration, combined with considered material choices, can elevate a constrained and outdated layout into a modern, visually striking interior.
